Bandh observed in Dhanera over Karni Sena chief’s murder in Rajasthan

Banaskantha: A bandh was observed today here in Dhanera and several other places of the district in the aftermath of the murder of Karni Sena chief Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, who was shot dead in Jaipur on Tuesday.

The Rajput Samaj called for this bandh, and the Rajput Yuva Sangathan also announced its support for the Dhanera Bandh. Traders and residents in Dhanera voluntarily shuttered their shops. A rally organized by the Rajput Samaj made its way to the collector’s office, expressing the community’s collective grief and demand for justice.

The places that witnessed the closure of markets are Panthawada Village in Dantiwada, Virampur, and Iqbalgarh in Amirgarh taluka.

Market traders supported the bandh called by the Rajput Samaj, temporarily halting their business activities. Notably, members of other communities also joined the movement. A rally, starting from the public roads of Amirgarh and extending to Chandni Chowk, voiced the collective demand for capital punishment for the perpetrators of this heinous crime. DeshGujarat
