48 teams participating in Bajrang Dal’s Hindu Premier League in Gujarat; Winners to go Ayodhya

Ahmedabad: The Bajrang Dal Premier League is currently underway in the Naranpura area of the city, with 48 participating teams. What makes this league unique is that every day, the winning team and the Man of the Match are extended an invitation to visit the Ayodhya Ram temple.

As the consecration of the Ram temple approaches in Ayodhya, this Hindu cricket tournament, organized by the Bajrang Dal, invites the Man of the Match and the victorious team to the Ram Mandir. Only Hindu players are allowed to participate, and non-Hindu players are prohibited from entering the grounds.

Jwalit Mehta, the president of the North Gujarat province of Bajrang Dal, explained that the Bajrang Dal aims to support Hindu youth through the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, instilling in them the values of Hindu culture and creating awareness about Sanatan Dharma. The organization’s plan is to contribute to the development of society, the state, and the country. Each team has received jerseys, and some donors have also provided assistance.

Furthermore, Mehta emphasized that only Hindu youths are eligible to play in the tournament. Any non-Hindu attempting to play under a false identity will result in the team facing penalties. The tournament features daily awards for the Man of the Match and the winning team, who are invited to the Ram temple in Ayodhya following its inauguration. The organizers have introduced the idea to make player feel blessed after seeing Ram Lalla in the Ram Temple.

It is noteworthy that to promote communal harmony, the Sadbhavna Cricket Tournament was held during the Rath Yatra in Bapu Nagar area of Ahmedabad several years ago. While winter box cricket leagues are popular in various locations, the Bajrang Dal Premier League in Ahmedabad is gaining attention, played at the Naranpura ground. The league’s objective is to unite Hindu youth and propagate its ideology at the grassroots level in the near future. DeshGujarat
