Hindus approach district collector against religious conversion in Narmada villages
February 08, 2024
Narmada: Local Hindus, along with members of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad today, submitted a memorandum to the district collector of Narmada against religious conversions occurring in the villages of the district.
Hindus have urged the district collector to cancel a program scheduled to be organised by the Christian community on February 11 in Sankhli village. They allege that the event, called “Aatmik Jagurti Sabha,” is being held to carry out religious conversions of Adivasis in the village of Dediapada Taluka.
Gautam Patel, Secretary of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, stated that a religious conversion program is scheduled for the upcoming 11th, and they have expressed their protest against the event. They have requested that the district collector prevent the event from taking place. Earlier, when villagers attempted to speak out against the programme, they were reportedly beaten up. Therefore, they have submitted the memorandum to the collector to prevent such incidents from happening again. DeshGujarat
