Vadodara: One of the toes of a three-year-old boy got amputated after getting stuck in a gap in a dilapidated slide in a city park.
The incident occurred in Tahura Park in the Tandalja area when the three-year-old boy was playing on the slide. There was a cut in the slide, and the boy’s toe got stuck in it. After getting caught in that gap in the slide, the toe was amputated. The boy was rushed to the hospital immediately, but the doctors were unable to reattach the amputated toe, leaving the boy with a lifetime amputation.
Following the incident, the Vadodara Municipal Corporation removed the slide but is facing backlash due to its negligence, as a child lost a toe. The boy’s father has demanded action against the administration, stating, “It is complete negligence on the administration’s part, as it is their duty to check the installed slides and other items. As they did not perform their duty, my child lost his toe. There should be action against the responsible person, as it can happen to anyone’s child.” DeshGujarat
