Patil slams congress over Pitroda’s inheritance tax remarks
April 25, 2024
Gandhinagar: Gujarat BJP Chief CR Patil today addressed the media regarding Congress leader Sam Pitroda’s remarks about implementing an inheritance tax.
Addressing the press conference at the state BJP Headquarters, Shri Kamalam Patil said, “Sam Pitroda, who advises a Congress party leader and previously advised that leader’s father, has expressed the opinion that when a person who earns money through hard work for themselves and their children passes away, the Congress government, if it comes to power, will levy a 55% tax on that wealth… and will distribute it to minorities, especially Muslims, as stated by Manmohan Singh 5 years ago. In this country, everyone has the same rights, and there is uproar throughout the nation about the Congress party’s attempt to make statements and rules solely to appease a specific community.”
“Rahul Gandhi has made a similar kind of statement, saying that they will conduct a survey of everyone’s property and then give it away. Hindus have a tendency to save so that their next generations can live a happy life. When Rahul says that they will survey such property and give it away, who will they give this property to? Infiltrators, who give birth to several children and burden the country? The BJP will not let this thing happen, and not a single person in the country will allow it to happen,” Patil added.
