Vadodara: A complaint has been filed against a builder couple for duping over 160 investors at Gotri Police Station in the city. The couple is accused of taking money from people and not giving possession of flats and shops to those investors.
Bhikubhai Kishan Koria and his wife Shiplaben Koria, builders of the Kishan Ambrosia project, are accused of taking money from around 160 people and not providing them with possession of the shops and flats. They also failed to provide any legal documents such as NOCs, allotment letters, or receipts of payment. Several people have invested their life savings in the project, while some have taken loans for this. The victims of the fraud alleged that they had approached the police earlier, but to no avail. However, on Wednesday, a group of over 100 women gathered at Gotri Police Station. One of the women even collapsed while protesting and was taken to the hospital via 108.
The builder couple has been booked under Sections 406, 420, and 114 of the Indian Penal Code. DeshGujarat
