May 27, 2024
Rajkot: CCTV footages that have emerged now suggest that fire broke out at TRP game zone in Rajkot initially due to welding activity. Sensitive material was stored on the ground floor of the game zone, above which welding was going on by a welder. Fire broke out there and then and eventually engulfed entire game zone, which resulted into deaths of at least 27 persons. Welding activity on the ground floor was going on for several days, the videos of vloggers who visited the game zone in recent past suggest. CCTV footage also show that the staffers of TRP game zone initially attempted to douse the fire by trying to shift the material and using a small fire extinguisher, however nothing could give desired result, as there was sensitive fire-catching material stored on the floor.
