Gandhinagar: Just 3 days after the massive fire incident at the TRP Game Zone in Rajkot, which claimed the lives of 27 individuals, including children, the Gujarat government has made a significant decision regarding game zones and entertainment venues across the state.

A directive has been issued to register offenses against the owners of entertainment venues and game zones operating without the necessary No Objection Certificate (NOC).

According to the latest directive, cases are to be filed against establishments found lacking the NOC during the current verification process. Moreover, strict sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) are to be invoked, and non-bailable clauses are to be imposed.

This directive has been issued to all collectors and municipal commissioners across the state for immediate action. Subsequently, the collectors have notified the district police chiefs, explicitly instructing them to register cases and take stringent action.

Under this directive, thorough inspections are mandated for all locations where large gatherings occur, including temples, mosques, schools, colleges, malls, theaters, food markets, and densely populated areas, as well as game zones in all cities across the state.
