Light to Moderate Rain very likely in Gujarat during next 5 days: IMD Forecast

Gandhinagar: Rainfall occurred at isolated places over the South Gujarat region and Saurashtra-Kutch; the weather was dry over the North Gujarat region in the last 24 hours. The India Meteorological Department (IMD), in its latest forecast, has predicted rainfall in several parts of Gujarat over a period of five days, from June 18th to June 22nd. Tomorrow, on Wednesday, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Valsad, in the South Gujarat region.

Weather warning as per the latest bulletin from IMD:

June 18th: Light thunderstorms with lightning and surface winds of 30–40 km/h (in gusts) accompanied by light to moderate rain are very likely at isolated places in all the districts of the South Gujarat region, namely Vadodara, Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Bharuch, Surat, Dang, Tapi, Navsari, Valsad, and in Daman, Dadra, and Nagar Haveli; in the districts of the North Gujarat region, namely Ahmedabad, Panchmahal, and Dahod; and in all the districts of Saurashtra-Kutch, namely Surendranagar, Rajkot, Jamnagar, Porbandar, Junagadh, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Morbi, Dwarka, Gir Somnath, Botad, Kutch, and in Diu.

June 19th: Heavy rain is very likely at isolated places in the districts of the South Gujarat region, namely Valsad, and in Daman, Dadra, and Nagar Haveli. Moderate thunderstorms with lightning and surface winds of 40–50 km/h (in gusts) accompanied by light to moderate rain are very likely at isolated places in all the districts of the South Gujarat region, namely Vadodara, Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Bharuch, Surat, Dang, Tapi, Navsari, Valsad, and in Daman, Dadra, and Nagar Haveli; and in the districts of the North Gujarat region, namely Panchmahal, Dahod, and Mahisagar. Light thunderstorms with lightning and surface winds of 30–40 km/h (in gusts) accompanied by light to moderate rain are very likely at isolated places in the districts of Saurashtra, namely Junagadh, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Gir Somnath, and Diu.
