Theft of 42 CPUs from L&T Vadodara

Vadodara: The Kapurai police have registered a case of theft after 42 CPUs were found missing from three L&T locations near Vadodara between December last year and June 25th. The stolen CPUs, valued at Rs 1.26 lakh, were part of a stock purchased in 2017.
Vijayalaxmi Das, the IT head in energy hydrocarbon engineering at L&T had filed a complaint in Kapura police station. He mentioned that the company had purchased about 500 Dell Optiplex 3000 series CPUs in 2017. These CPUs were stored in the strongroom, hubroom, and west block of L&T and were used as needed.
In December 2023, some CPUs were missing during an inventory count in the storeroom and hubroom. Initial investigations found no leads. However, on June 25th, a Dell Optiplex 3000 series CPU was confirmed stolen from the fourth floor of the company’s West Block No.1.
Between December last year and June 25th, 42 CPUs went missing from these storage areas. Kapurai police have filed a case and are currently investigating the matter. DeshGujarat
