Orange alert in parts of Gujarat; IMD forecasts heavy rain for 3 days

Ahmedabad: After extremely heavy rainfall on Tuesday, the state is likely to experience some relief in the coming five days as the red alert has been lifted, with only a few districts still under an orange alert for today. According to the latest forecast by the IMD, heavy rains are predicted from July 3rd to July 5th. However, from July 6th and 7th, the state is expected to witness only light to moderate rainfall.

As per the latest IMD bulletin:

July 3rd: Heavy to very heavy rains are likely at isolated places in districts of Gujarat region including Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Surat, Navsari, Valsad, and in Daman and Dadara Nagar Haveli. Heavy rains are also expected in Patan, Mehsana, Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad, Mahisagar, Narmada, Bharuch, Dangs, and Tapi, as well as in Saurashtra districts namely Morbi, Surendranagar, Rajkot, Amreli, Bhavnagar, and Botad.

July 4th: Heavy rains are expected at isolated places in districts of Gujarat region including Surat, Navsari, Valsad, and in Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli.

July 5th: Heavy rains are likely at isolated places in districts of Gujarat region including Navsari, Valsad, and in Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli.

On July 6th and 7th: All districts of Gujarat are likely to experience light to moderate rainfall in many areas.
