VMC levies fine of Rs. 1.7 lakh on 6 contractors

Vadodara: Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) has fined six contractors a total of Rs. 1.70 lakh for delays in completing works, which resulted in road cave-ins and potholes after rainfall.
Each of the following contractors namely, JP Construction, Shri Krishna Plumbers, Jayaswal Developers, Bhavesh R Pandya, and SK Makwana have been fined Rs. 25,000 for not doing proper earthwork after completing the works for drainage lines and stormwater gutters. Bhavin Enterprise has been fined Rs. 45,000 for issues related to drainage line works. The combined fines amount to Rs. 1.70 lakh across these contractors. – DeshGujarat
