– ATPO Rajesh Makwana of Rajkot Principal Corporation (RMC) has been suspended in connection with the Rajkot TRP game zone case. Makwana has been suspended for tampering with records to safeguard the suspended then TPO, MD Sagathiya. Makwana becomes the eighth RMC officer to be suspended in this case.
– Ten packets of drugs have been seized on the coast of Chara village in Khodiyar. The unclaimed narcotics were found lying on the coast, prompting the local special operation group police to be informed.
– A protest rally was held in Surat against the recently released film ‘Maharaj.’ The Surat Vishwa Hindu Parishad organized the rally, which started from Vanita Vishram and proceeded to the district collector’s office, demanding a boycott of the movie.
– Reacting to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Gujarat, BJP MLA from Porbandar Arjun Modhvadia told the media that Rahul Gandhi has come here only to defame Gujarat. He pointed out that during Gujarat’s floods and other disasters, Rahul Gandhi never visited, but now he is here solely to defame Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Gujarat.
– Another BJP leader Dilip Sanghani, reacting to Gandhi’s visit to Gujarat, said,”statement given by Rahul Gandhi in the Lok Sabha pre-planned attack on Hindus. If he had made that statement outside Parliament, several police complaints would have been filed against him by Hindus. That is why he gave the statement in the Lok Sabha. This is anti-national and anti-Hindu sentiment; calling Hindus terrorists shows the terror mentality of these people. The public will never accept it. I am a proud Hindu, and the whole country is saying that.”
