July 21, 2024
Surat: Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha(BJYM) Surat District General Secretary Manish Shah has been suspended from the party for six years over alleged government food grain diversion. Surat district BJP president announced the suspension on Saturday. The action follows a Friday raid by Mamlatdar, who seized 100 quintals of grain and a tempo storing government grain in private godowns in Narmada district.
Shah had a doorstep delivery contract in Sagbara of Narmada district under the name Arihant Agro Sales. Instead of delivering government food grains to designated shops, Shah diverted them to private godowns. He repacked the grains from government cargos into other cargos to make a profit.
Mamlatdar received information about Shah’s tempo delivering government grain to a private godown on Panch Pipli Road in Sagbara. The grain was being emptied into other cargos at the godown. Following the raid, 100 quintals of grain and the tempo were seized.
Surat BJP president Bharatbhai Rathod stated that Manish Shah’s actions harmed the party’s reputation. As a result, Shah has been suspended from all posts and active membership for six years, effective immediately. DeshGujarat
