Orange alert in parts of Gujarat for next 24 hours; IMD issues heavy rain forecast till July 31

Gandhinagar: The state of Gujarat has been experiencing active monsoon conditions over the past few days. Although the intensity of the downpour has subsided in most areas in the last two days, some places are still likely to receive heavy rains in the coming five days until July 31st. The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rainfall alert with red and orange warnings for several districts during the next three days. However, light to moderate rain is predicted across all 33 districts of the state during the period.
According to the IMD’s latest bulletin, an orange alert has been issued for Aravalli, Mahisagar, Panchmahal, Dahod, Vadodara, and Chhota Udepur, indicating heavy to very heavy rains are likely at isolated places in these districts during the next 24 hours ending at 8:30 AM on July 28th.
A yellow warning for heavy rain has been issued for Sabarkantha, Gandhinagar, Kheda, Ahmedabad, Anand, Narmada, Bharuch, Surat, Dangs, Navsari, Valsad, Tapi, as well as for Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli, Amreli, and Bhavnagar.
On July 28th, a red alert has been issued for Vadodara and Chhota Udepur, as heavy to very heavy rains are likely at isolated places, with isolated extremely heavy falls also possible in these districts.
An orange alert has been issued for Ahmedabad, Anand, Panchmahal, Dahod, Mahisagar, Narmada, Bharuch, Amreli, Bhavnagar, and Botad, indicating a likelihood of heavy to very heavy rains.
A yellow warning for heavy rain has been issued for Sabarkantha, Gandhinagar, Aravalli, Kheda, Surat, Dangs, Navsari, Valsad, Tapi, and for Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli, Rajkot, and Gir Somnath.
On July 29th, an orange alert is in place for Ahmedabad, Anand, Vadodara, Chhota Udepur, and Bharuch, while a yellow warning for heavy rains has been issued for Banaskantha, Patan, Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Gandhinagar, Aravalli, Kheda, Panchmahal, Dahod, Mahisagar, Narmada, Surat, Dangs, Navsari, Valsad, Tapi, Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli, Surendranagar, Rajkot, Jamnagar, Bhavnagar, Morbi, and Botad.
On July 30th, a yellow warning for heavy rains has been issued for Navsari, Valsad, and in Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli.
