Students shifted to other schools as bank seals School building in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: The students of Lotus School will be shifted to other nearby schools as the Punjab National Bank has sealed the school building due to non-payment of the loan amount. Until the school is unsealed, the students will be studying at BRAMS English School.
A trustee had secured a mortgage loan of Rs. 1.46 crore from Punjab National Bank. Following the trustee’s death, the loan remained unpaid despite multiple notices from the bank, leading to the school being sealed on Saturday and forcing students to go home.
The grant-in-aid school in the Isanpur area has remained sealed since then, as the trust has struggled to repay the loan because of the consecutive holidays on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. However, since the trust has not been able to make the repayment, the District Education Officer of Ahmedabad instructed the management to make other arrangements for the students so that they do not miss classes.
The school has initiated the process of repayment on Wednesday. As it might take time, arrangements have been made to shift the students to another school for the time being. DeshGujarat
