Patan: After a vigorous monsoon spell, the people of Gujarat are likely to sigh with relief as rainfall is expected to subside over most places during the next seven days. With an orange alert issued for two districts for the next 24 hours, ending at 8:30 AM on Thursday, most places in the state are likely to experience light to moderate rain until September 10, according to the daily forecast from the Indian Meteorological Department.

As per the latest IMD bulletin, Banaskantha and Patan in north Gujarat have been put on an orange alert for the next 24 hours due to predictions of heavy to very heavy rains. Meanwhile, Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Dahod, Mahisagar, Narmada, Bharuch, Surat, Navsari, Valsad, and Daman, along with Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Morbi, and Kutch, may experience heavy rains, prompting a yellow warning for these districts.

On September 5, heavy rains are very likely in isolated places in the districts of Banaskantha, Patan, Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Bharuch, Surat, Navsari, Valsad, Daman, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Morbi, and Kutch.

On September 6, heavy rains are very likely in Banaskantha, Patan, Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Navsari, Valsad, Daman, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, and Kutch.

On September 7, heavy rains are very likely in isolated places in the districts of Banaskantha, Navsari, Valsad, and Daman, Dadra and Nagar Haveli.

On September 8, heavy rains are very likely in isolated places in the districts of Valsad and Daman, Dadra and Nagar Haveli.

There are no warnings or alerts for September 9 and 10, and all areas may receive light to moderate rains during these days.
