Narmada: With Gujarat receiving 118.04% of its average monsoon rainfall, here are the current water storage details across the state: As of 4 PM today, the Sardar Sarovar Dam, the largest in Gujarat, is releasing 1.9 lakh cusecs of water downstream through its ten gates, which are open up to 2.2 meters. The dam has seen an inflow of over 2.1 lakh cusecs and stands at a level of 134.55 meters, compared to its maximum level of 138.68 meters.

In the Tapi district, the Ukai Dam is at 79.89% of its capacity and is discharging 89,000 cusecs against an inflow of 1.5 lakh cusecs. The Kadana Dam in Mahisagar, the third-largest dam, holds 92.68% of its capacity and is discharging 1.02 lakh cusecs of water. The Panam Dam, also in Mahisagar, is currently at 95.17% of its water capacity.

The Karjan Dam in Narmada district has 74.71% of its storage full, while the Damanganga Dam in Vapi is at 72.21% of its total capacity. In contrast, the Dantiwada Dam in Banaskantha, North Gujarat, is only 37.82% full.

Rajkot’s Bhadar Dam, the second-largest in the Saurashtra region, is nearly full at 99.82% capacity, releasing 1,648 cusecs due to recent heavy rainfall. Both Machchhu 1 and Machchhu 2 dams are also at full capacity. However, the Shetrunji Dam in Bhavnagar, the largest in the Saurashtra region, is only 63.21% full.

With ongoing rainfall in the state, 115 reservoirs are completely full, while 45 are at 70-100% capacity. Additionally, 18 dams are between 50-70% full, and 19 are at 25-50% capacity.
