Gandhinagar: Gaming zones are emerging in dedicated areas as well as in commercial establishments such as shopping malls and complexes across various cities in the state. Considering their growing popularity and the need for public safety, security, and welfare, the Gujarat Government has decided to include specific provisions for the regulation of Gaming Activity Areas in the CGDCR. These provisions address concerns related to large crowd gatherings in these areas.

Separate planning regulations have been established for independent gaming zones and those within commercial buildings.

The provisions introduced by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel in the CGDCR outline requirements related to road width, minimum area, building height, parking, safety measures, and various NOCs required for constructing gaming activity areas.

Additionally, guidelines mandate separate entry and exit points, emergency exits, and refuge areas for independent gaming activities to ensure public safety. It has been clarified that the BU certificate, Fire NOC, and all other necessary licenses, certificates, permits, and NOCs must be displayed at the gaming zone.

The new regulation also requires that any previously obtained development permissions or BU certificates must be updated in accordance with the new rules before commencing construction.

The Chief Minister has further stipulated penalties for unauthorized commencement of activities, such as initiating operations without proper permission under the new CGDCR regulations. DeshGujarat
