Ahmedabad: In a bid to facilitate travel for devotees during the upcoming Ganesh Utsav, Western Railway announced today the introduction of 56 trips and six pairs of Ganpati Special Trains. These additional services aim to accommodate the increased passenger demand during the festive season, with some trains also linked to Gujarat, ensuring easier access for travelers.

The special train services will commence from various locations, with multiple trips scheduled. Notably, Train No. 09001, the Mumbai Central – Thokur Special, will operate weekly from September 3 to September 17, 2024, via Vasai Road, Panvel, and Roha, offering three trips during this period. Following this, Train No. 09002 will run from Thokur to Mumbai Central weekly, from September 4 to September 18, 2024 and will also offer 3 trips.

The Mumbai Central – Sawantwadi Road Special (Train No. 09009) will make 13 trips, every day except Tuesdays, from September 2 to September 16, 2024. Similarly, the Sawantwadi Road – Mumbai Central Special (Train No. 09010) will make three trips between from September 3 to September 17, 2024.

The Bandra Terminus – Kudal Special (Train No. 09015) will be available weekly from September 5 to September 19, 2024, providing another option for travelers. The Kudal – Bandra Terminus Special (Train No. 09016) will also run weekly from September 6 to September 20, 2024.

Moreover, the Ahmedabad – Kudal Special (Train No. 09412) is set to operate from September 3 to September 17, 2024, with the reverse journey (Kudal – Ahmedabad Special, Train No. 09411) scheduled from September 4 to September 18, 2024. Both trains will make 3 trips each.

Additionally, Vishvamitri – Kudal Special (Train No. 09150), running 13 times from September 2 to September 16, 2024. The Kudal Vishvamitri Special (Train No. 09149) will also operate weekly from September 3 to September 17, 2024.

Lastly, the Ahmedabad – Mangaluru Special (Train No. 09424) and its counterpart, the Mangaluru – Ahmedabad Special (Train No. 09423), will run weekly from September 6 to September 20, 2024, and September 7 to September 21, 2024, respectively.
