Insect found in Dal: 5-star hotel in Ahmedabad fined Rs. 50,000

Ahmedabad: A five-star hotel, ITC Narmada, located in the Vastrapur area of the city, was fined Rs. 50,000 by the city civic body after an insect was found in the food served at the hotel.
The Health Department of Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) received a video complaint after a customer found an insect in the dal served in his room. Acting on the complaint, the AMC team conducted an immediate inspection of the hotel’s kitchen. Although no violations were found during the inspection, the health department issued a formal notice with a stern warning and fined the hotel Rs. 50,000.
ITC Narmada is another posh hotel, after Hyatt and Pride Plaza in Vastrapur and Fairfield by Marriott on Ashram Road, where similar incidents have been reported in recent months. DeshGujarat
