Ahmedabad – Bhuj Vande Bharat Metro train flagging off on Sept 16; Schedule, Route, Halts, Fare details

Bhuj: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the country’s first Vande Metro train from Ahmedabad on Monday, September 16, 2024.

As per the schedule from the Ministry of Railways, the train will depart from Bhuj at 5:05 AM, arriving in Ahmedabad at 10:50 AM. The return trip will leave Ahmedabad at 5:30 PM, reaching Bhuj at 11:10 PM. The journey will take approximately 5 hours and 45 minutes, including halts at nine stations, each averaging two minutes. However, the train will stop at Gandhidham for 10 minutes.

The intermediate stations include Anjar, Gandhidham, Bhachau, Samakhiali, Halvad, Dhrangadhra, Viramgam, Chandlodiya, and Sabarmati.

According to details from the Ministry of Railways, Train No. 94801 (Ahmedabad – Bhuj Vande Metro) will run six days a week, except on Saturdays, while Train No. 94802 (Bhuj – Ahmedabad Vande Metro) will also operate six days a week, except on Sundays.

This new Vande Metro train will mark the first metro service in Gujarat, greatly enhancing convenience for thousands of passengers traveling between the two cities and becoming the first metro service within the Indian Railway network.

Fare Structure of Vande Metro

Single Journey Fare: The basic fare table for a single journey ticket is enclosed herewith. The minimum chargeable fare shall be Rs. 30, inclusive of GST.

Season Tickets: Weekly, fortnightly, and monthly season tickets shall be charged equivalent to 7, 15, and 20 single journeys of Vande Metro, respectively, as per the fare table enclosed herewith.

All other miscellaneous charges, including applicable GST, shall be levied separately.

Other Conditions:

(i) The chargeable fare shall be rounded off to the next higher multiple of Rs. 5.

(ii) Normal child fare rules shall be applicable.

(iii) Regarding the issue and validity of tickets, CC No. 05 of 2016 shall also be followed.

(iv) The time limit for the cancellation of tickets and the applicability of a clerkage charge of Rs. 60 on cancellation of tickets shall be as per Rules No. 4 and 5 of the Railway Passenger (Cancellation of Tickets and Refund of Fare) Rule 2015. Additionally, GST at 5% on the clerkage charge shall also be applicable as per existing principles.

(v) Concessional tickets and tickets against free complimentary passes that are not reimbursed shall not be admissible on this train.
