September 13, 2024
Vadodara: In a appreciable initiative, city-based Shubhechcha Hospital has procured a boat as a preventive measure in case a flood of the river Vishwamitri occurs once again, this monsoon or in the future. Shubhechcha hospital now possesses a boat dedicated to rescuing patients during flood situations.
The Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) Standing Committee Chairman, Dr. Shital Mistry, had recently given a useful suggestion that citizens need to keep ropes, boats, tubes, flood lights, etc. in case of a flood situation till the Vishwamitri project to prevent the floods is completed.
Dr. Minu Patel, General Surgeon of Shubhechha Hospital, said that during the flood last month, 25 patients, their relatives, and staffers were stuck inside the hospital. Due to lack of power supply and drinking water, the pregnant women were taken to another hospital through boats. A well-wisher has taken the initiative and given a boat to the hospital for any such future situation. The patients of the hospital have welcomed this initiative. DeshGujarat
