6 new Vande Bharat Express trains to be flagged off by PM Modi

Ahmedabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off six Vande Bharat Express trains from Ahmedabad.

The Vande Bharat trains that PM Modi will flag off from Ahmedabad are on the following routes: Nagpur to Secunderabad, Kolhapur to Pune, Agra Cantt to Banaras, Durg to Visakhapatnam, Pune to Hubballi, and the first 20-coach Vande Bharat train from Varanasi to Delhi. On the same day, PM will alos flag off India’s first Vande Metro from Bhuj to Ahmedabad.

Prior to flagging off these trains from Ahmedabad, the Prime Minister will also launch six other Vande Bharat trains on these routes: Tatanagar – Patna, Bhagalpur – Dumka – Howrah, Brahmapur – Tatanagar, Gaya – Howrah, Deoghar – Varanasi, and Rourkela – Howrah.

India’s first-ever indigenously designed and manufactured semi-high speed Vande Bharat trains has provided a modern and comfortable rail travel experience to passengers. High Speed, enhanced Safety standards and world class Service are the hallmarks of this train.

These trains are fitted with KAVACH technology and offer faster acceleration with semi-high-speed operation of up to 160 KMPH. The fully sealed gangway allows for free passenger movement, while automatic plug doors ensure convenience. Passengers can enjoy reclining ergonomic seats and comfortable seating, including revolving seats in executive class, as well as improved ride comfort. Each seat is equipped with mobile charging sockets, and a mini pantry provides a hot case, bottle cooler, deep freezer, and hot water boiler. Direct and diffused lighting enhances the ambiance, and special lavatories for Divyangjan passengers are available in the DTC.

Safety features include emergency openable windows, fire extinguishers in each coach, and CCTVs throughout the train. Emergency alarm push buttons and talk-back units are installed in all coaches, alongside an aerosol-based fire detection and suppression system in electrical cabinets and lavatories. The driver-guard communication system has a voice recording facility and crash-hardened memory. Additionally, a Coach Condition Monitoring System (CCMS) display with remote monitoring is in place, and each coach is equipped with four disaster lights for emergencies.
