Gandhinagar: In a major decision for youth preparing for competitive exams in the state, as well as those aspiring to join the Gujarat Police Force, the Minister of State for Home, Harsh Sanghvi, announced that in 2025, the Home Department will directly recruit 14,820 posts in various cadres of the State Police Force, Class-3.

Minister Sanghvi further mentioned that after the completion of the ongoing direct recruitment process for 12,472 posts in various cadres of the State Police Force, Class-3, currently being conducted by the Gujarat Police Recruitment Board, the Home Department will fill these additional posts in 2025.

The recruitment includes positions such as 129 SRPF Armed PSIs, 126 Wireless PSIs, 35 M.T. PSIs, 551 Technical Operators, 45 Head Constable Driver Mechanics (Grade-I), 26 Motor Transport Supervisors (Grade-2), 135 Head Constable Driver Mechanics (Grade-2), 7,218 Unarmed Police Constables, 3,010 Armed Police Constables, 3,214 Armed Police Constables of SRPF, 300 Jail Constables (Male), and 31 Jail Sepoys (Female), among others.

Additionally, in 2025, 45 Senior Clerk positions and 200 Junior Clerk positions in police department offices will be directly recruited by the Gujarat Secondary Service Selection Board, bringing the total number of posts to 245. DeshGujarat
