10 patient lose vision after cateract operation

Rajkot: 10 people lost vision in their eyes after a medical operation at the Shivanand Mission Trust-run hospital, which operates in Virnagar, Jasdan. The hospital has been functioning since 1956 and provides services to poor and needy people. Cataract operations were performed on 32 patients on 23rd September. Of them, 9 lost their vision due to infection. They were taken to a private hospital in Rajkot. The health department has sealed the operation theater of Shivanand Mission Hospital.
