Retd Judge/Class 1 officer to be in AMC panel for probing complaints against staff

Ahmedabad: The Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) announced the creation of a panel to investigate complaints against its employees and officers. The panel will consist of retired judges or retired Class 1 officers.
On Friday, the AMC invited applications for the position of Inquiry Officer (retainer). Interested candidates are required to submit their applications within 20 days. The position is open to retired judges or retired Class 1 officers from the AMC, central, or state government, with an age limit of 65 years.
The Inquiry Officer will be compensated with ₹5,000 for absenteeism cases, ₹10,000 for examining one witness, ₹12,000 for 2-5 witnesses, and ₹15,000 for more than five witnesses. For cases involving multiple offenders, the fee will be charged per offender. DeshGujarat
