Congress fields Gulabsinh Rajput as candidate for Vav by-election

Gandhinagar: The main opposition Congress party has fielded Gulab Singh Rajput as its candidate for Vav assembly seat by-election. Today is the last date of filing nominations.
The Congress party statement said – ‘ The Congress President, Shri Mallikarjun Kharge, has approved the candidature of Shri Gulab Singh Rajput as Congress candidate for the ensuing by-election to the Legislative Assembly of Gujarat from 7 – Vav Constituency.
Gulab Singh Rajput is former MLA of Congress party from Tharad assembly seat.
Vav assembly seat is vacant and witnessing by-poll due to resignation of Geniben Thakor from the State assembly to retain her Banaskantha Lok Sabha seat. DeshGujarat
