Vadodara: The Vadodara district collectorate has suspended two revenue department talatis and a clerk over unauthorized absenteeism. According to officials, the suspensions were ordered by Vadodara District Collector Bijal Shah and Resident Additional Collector Dr. B. S. Prajapati to address the ongoing issue of absenteeism among government employees.
The suspended employees include Hiren Kodiyatar, a clerk at the Karjan mamlatdar office, and Vijay Maheriya, a talati at the Desar mamlatdar office. Both faced a departmental inquiry due to extended absences from duty, with the suspension decision based on the inquiry findings. Another suspended employee, Bhavika Parmar, a talati with the revenue department, had been absent from her post for two years.
The district collectorate has warned that similar measures will be taken against other officers exhibiting absenteeism. DeshGujarat
