Rajkot: A shocking case of love jihad has come to light in Rajkot, where a 15-year-old Hindu minor girl has been kidnapped by Ilyas, who is allegedly a father of two.
Demanding the safe return of their daughter and punishment for the accused, the girl’s parents have also approached Hindu organizations for support to prevent such incidents from happening to others in the future.
A resident of Sorathiyawadi, the mother of the minor girl said, “Two months ago, a man named Ilyas kidnapped my daughter at 2 am in a car. As we approached Thorala police chowki and located the man, he got scared and left our daughter in Somnath. She called us, and we went to Somnath to bring her back. The next day, we went to Thorala police chowki. Rs. 85,000 was also stolen from our house, but since we found our daughter, we did not take further action. After 4-5 days, the girl insisted on leaving us and asked to go to her maternal uncle’s son’s house in Manavadar village.”
“We got her engaged to her uncle’s son, and she lived at their house for over two months. All the elders decided that she could stay there, and as she is 15 years and 2 months old, we would marry her when she turns 18. However, Ilyas kidnapped my daughter from my maternal uncle’s house 4 days ago at noon. We filed a complaint with Manavadar police, and after two days, the location of the accused was traced. We want the safe return of our daughter and for a POSCO case to be filed against Ilyas, or whatever other section is applicable,” the mother of the victim added. DeshGujarat
