Vadodara: Dr. Jayprakash Maheshkumar Soni has become the new President of Vadodara city unit of ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Former minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama made the announcement of the party’s decision to appoint Soni as the new city BJP president. Soni’s educational qualifications include an MBA in Finance and a PhD.

He is the former Assistant Registrar of Vadodara-based MS University. He is also the former Deputy Registrar (Admin) of Central University of Gujarat. Soni was the City unit convenor of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh in Vadodara in the past. Soni replaces outgoing city BJP chief Dr. Vijay Shah.
