Rajkot hottest city in Gujarat at 45.2°C; Ahmedabad records season’s highest at 43.2°C

Ahmedabad: Gujarat continues to reel under scorching temperatures, with maximum temperatures across Saurashtra, Kutch, and other parts of the state soaring between 43.0°C and 45.2°C. Heatwave conditions have been reported in Rajkot, Deesa, Porbandar, and their surrounding regions.
Rajkot remained the hottest city on Wednesday, recording a blazing 45.2°C. Amreli followed at 44.3°C, while Surendranagar touched 43.8°C. Deesa and Porbandar, both witnessing heatwave conditions, recorded 43.6°C and 43.0°C, respectively.
Wednesday was the season’s hottest day in Ahmedabad, with the mercury touching 43.2°C, while Vadodara followed closely with 43.0°C, adding to the widespread discomfort across the state.
Even though Rajkot was the hottest among the cities, the hottest place overall was Kandla Airport, which reached 45.6°C. Authorities have urged residents to take precautions and avoid stepping out during peak afternoon hours. DeshGujarat
