Illegal properties of bootleggers bulldozed in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: The city civic body and local police, in a joint action against notorious criminals, carried out the demolition of their illegal encroachments.
The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation carried out the demolition near LG College in the Sarkhej area, bulldozing the unauthorized houses and structures belonging to Udaysinh Dhirawat and Shankarlal, who had been involved in the liquor trade for the past 10 years. Around 50 criminal cases have been registered against the accused and their family members. Properties acquired through criminal activities and illegally constructed structures were demolished in the presence of police officials.
According to police information, 17 cases have been registered against Udaysinh, 10 against his family members, and another 10 against Shankarlal, along with several additional cases against his relatives—totaling approximately 50 cases. ACP A.B. Valand stated that the criminals have been involved in various offenses for nearly 10 years.
