11 Flights from Ahmedabad Airport Cancelled Amid Airport Closures
May 08, 2025
Ahmedabad: At least 11 flights scheduled to depart from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in the city have been cancelled today due to operational disruptions, causing inconvenience to passengers. These cancellations come after civilian operations at several airports across the country — including Bhuj, Rajkot, Kandla, and Jamnagar in Gujarat — were suspended amid ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan following the Pahalgam terror attack.
The cancelled flights include both domestic and international sectors such as flight IA 450 to Najaf in Iraq, two flights to Srinagar (6E 6164, QP 6637), three flights to Chandigarh (6E 6375, 6E 246, 6E 6506), and one flight each to Delhi (AI 424), Bhuj (S5 157), Kolhapur (S5 166), Kishangarh (6E 7283), and Keshod (9I 603). Amid the closures, airlines have announced that affected passengers will be provided with rebooking or refund options.
SVPI Airport has also issued an advisory to passengers stating, “In view of airspace restrictions and closure of certain airports across the country, flight operations may be impacted. We urge passengers to check with their airlines for the latest flight status before travelling to the airport.” DeshGujarat
