Unseasonal rain likely in parts of Gujarat till May 13: IMD forecast

Ahmedabad: The India Meteorological Department (IMD), in its latest forecast, has stated that light to moderate rain and thundershowers are likely across various parts of Gujarat, Daman, Diu, and Dadra Nagar Haveli over the next few days. After a two-day dip, temperatures rose again across the state today. As per the bulletin, a gradual rise in maximum temperatures by 3–5°C is expected during the next week.
According to IMD, light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms is likely at many places across all districts of Gujarat today, at a few places on May 10, and at isolated locations on May 11.
Rainfall is then expected at isolated places on May 12 in districts including Vadodara, Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Bharuch, Surat, Dang, Navsari, Valsad, Tapi, Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Kheda, Anand, Panchmahal, Dahod, Mahisagar, Rajkot, Jamnagar, Porbandar, Junagadh, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Dwarka, Gir Somnath, and Botad.
On May 13, only a few districts—namely Narmada, Bharuch, Surat, Dang, Navsari, Valsad, Tapi, Amreli, Bhavnagar, and Gir Somnath—are likely to receive rain, while the rest of the state is expected to remain dry.
Dry weather is likely to prevail across the entire region on May 14 and 15, and it is expected to continue in the subsequent days.
