Mumbai-Gandhinagar Vande Bharat Express to run with 19 coaches from May 11

Gandhinagar: Three more coaches are going to be added to the Vande Bharat Express between Gandhinagar and Mumbai tomorrow, on Sunday.
The Western Railway, in an official press release, said, “To enhance passenger convenience and meet growing travel demand, Western Railway has decided to permanently add three additional AC Chair Car coaches to Train No. 20901/20902 Mumbai Central – Gandhinagar Capital Vande Bharat Express, effective from 11th May, 2025.”
“As one of India’s premier express trains, this train offers a fast, comfortable, and efficient travel experience with modern amenities. Known for its high-speed connectivity between Mumbai and Gandhinagar Capital, this augmentation will further enhance passenger capacity, directly adding an extra capacity of more than 85,000 passengers annually,” the press release added.
The semi-high-speed train, the third Vande Bharat Express overall and the first such 2nd Generation train designed and manufactured by the Integral Coach Factory (ICF), currently has 16 coaches. DeshGujarat
