Bandra Terminus Mumbai – Bikaner Weekly Superfast Express to halt at 9 stations in Gujarat
May 21, 2025
Mumbai: In a major boost to rail connectivity between Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Rajasthan, Indian Railways has announced the launch of a new Superfast Express train service, Train No. 21903/21904 Bandra Terminus–Bikaner–Bandra Terminus Weekly Superfast Express. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the inaugural run of this train service from Deshnok Railway Station in Rajasthan on May 22.
As per the regular schedule announced by the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Mumbai Central, Train No. 21903 will depart from Bandra Terminus every Monday, starting from May 26, 2025, while Train No. 21904 will depart from Bikaner Junction every Wednesday, starting from May 28, 2025.
En route, the train will halt at Borivali, Vapi, Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara, Anand, Nadiad, Sabarmati, Mehsana, Palanpur, Abu Road, Falna, Marwar, Pali Marwar, Jodhpur, Merta Road, Nagaur, Nokha, and Deshnok stations in both directions.
The train will consist of 22 fully air-conditioned coaches, including 18 Third AC Economy coaches, 2 Second AC coaches, and 2 luggage-cum-brake vans, according to the Railway Board.
It is noteworthy that with the introduction of this train, nine locations in Gujarat, including Surat, Vadodara, and Ahmedabad, will receive additional rail connectivity to both Rajasthan and Maharashtra. Given the fact that several Marwari families live in Surat, Ahmedabad, and other cities of Gujarat, this new train will enhance direct rail connectivity to their hometowns in the Marwar region of Rajasthan.
Similarly, for people traveling to Mumbai from Ahmedabad or Surat, one of the busiest railway corridors in the country, this train offers an additional travel option.
In Gujarat, the train will stop for 2 minutes at Vapi, Bharuch, Anand, Nadiad, Mehsana, and Palanpur; 3 minutes at Surat, and 5 minutes each at Vadodara and Sabarmati Station (Ahmedabad), giving passengers ample time to board and deboard. DeshGujarat
