Control rooms to run 24×7 amid yellow alert in some districts of Gujarat

Surat: The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for strong winds and heavy rain in the districts of Surat, Tapi, Valsad, Dang, Navsari, Amreli, and Bhavnagar, following the formation of a low-pressure system over the Arabian Sea.
Taking into account the forecast, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has instructed the district administrations in these areas to remain alert and vigilant, and to keep control rooms operational 24×7.
He has also issued guidelines for precautionary safety measures in view of the expected rain and strong winds.
The Chief Minister further directed that the control room at the State Emergency Operation Center in Gandhinagar should also remain functional round-the-clock and maintain constant contact with the affected districts. DeshGujarat
