Gujarat Authorities Urge Kin of Air India Crash Victims to Submit DNA Samples

Gandhinagar: Health Principal Secretary Dhananjay Dwivedi has stated that Ahmedabad Civil Hospital has made necessary arrangements to collect DNA samples from the relatives of those who lost their lives in the Ahmedabad plane crash, to aid in the identification process.
DNA sample collection is taking place at Kasoti Bhavan, located within Ahmedabad Civil Hospital. Immediate family members of the deceased — specifically parents or children — are eligible to provide samples.
Kasoti Bhavan is situated on the ground floor of B.J. Medical College, within the Civil Hospital premises.
The hospital administration has urged the relatives and close family members of the deceased to visit Kasoti Bhavan and submit DNA samples to facilitate timely identification.
Additionally, in view of the incident, the hospital has released two helpline numbers for families seeking information regarding patient treatment and emergency services at the Trauma (Emergency) Center:
