Surat: An overhead electric (OHE) contact wire snapped on the up line near Kim railway station in Olpad taluka of Surat, disrupting railway traffic briefly this morning . The Valsad-Danapur Express and a goods train were halted for some time due to the breakage. Acting swiftly, the Railway Department diverted the trains onto other tracks to ensure continued service. Railway officials and staff reached the site and are carrying out repair work on a war footing. An investigation is also underway to determine the cause of the OHE wire failure. DeshGujarat
