GSRTC operating daily Volvo bus service from Ahmedabad to Somnath amid Shravan

Ahmedabad: In a boost to religious tourism, the Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) has launched a daily Volvo bus service from Ahmedabad’s Ranip depot to the Somnath Jyotirlinga during the holy month of Shravan.
As per the itinerary for the two-day, one-night tour package, the journey begins daily at 6:00 AM from Ranip and reaches Somnath by 4:00 PM. The return journey starts the next day at 9:30 AM from Somnath and concludes at 10:30 PM at Ranip, Ahmedabad, according to an official release by the Gujarat Tourism Department.
The round-trip ticket is priced at ₹4,000 per person, while the fare for two passengers is ₹7,050. The package includes breakfast, two meals, hotel accommodation for one night, and guide services. Tourists will also get to experience Somnath’s light and sound show, Triveni Sangam aarti, Bhalka Tirth, Ram Mandir, and Geeta Mandir as part of the itinerary.
The initiative, which began in April, is part of the government’s efforts to accelerate religious tourism in the state, following extensive consultations with various stakeholders. DeshGujarat
