Surat: In a crackdown on hospitals flouting fire safety regulations, the Surat Fire Department has sealed four healthcare facilities located in Pandesara, Althan, and Un Patia. The action comes in response to serious lapses in adherence to mandatory fire safety standards, leaving hospital administrators scrambling to respond.

Among those sealed is Shri Deep Children Care Hospital, a ground-plus-one-floor facility located near Piyush Point in the Pandesara area. Kavita Maternity Home and General Hospital, a ground-plus-three-floor hospital also located near Piyush Point, has been sealed.

The Advance Orthopedic Surgical Hospital, located on the fourth floor of KSB Olympia Mall near Kailash Chowkdi on VIP Road in Althan, was also found in violation of fire safety rules and has been sealed. Similarly, the first and second floors of Un Multi Specialist Hospital in Royal Square near Un Patia on Udhna-Navsari Main Road have been sealed for non-compliance.

Officials from the Fire Department stated that there will be zero tolerance for negligence in fire safety. All hospitals are required to strictly adhere to fire safety regulations, and similar stringent action will be taken in the future against institutions that fail to comply. DeshGujarat
