Family find Pigeon Wing and Bone in Sev Tameta Dish Ordered in Restaurant

Mahemdavad: A family’s evening out ended in disgust and outrage after they found parts of a pigeon in a dish served at Prabhat hotel. The incident, which took place at the outlet in Nenpur chokdi, has raised serious questions about the establishment’s hygiene and food safety standards.
The family of Ahmedabad’s Maninagar based Ajaybhai Mangal Patil had ordered several items after darshan at Siddhi Vinayak temple, including “Sev Tameta,” a well-known Gujarati vegetarian curry. While eating, a family member was shocked to find a clearly identifiable pigeon’s wing, along with a bone, mixed into the gravy. When they confronted the restaurant’s management about the contaminated food, they were allegedly met with a dismissive attitude by owner Anwar Ali. The owner reportedly refused to acknowledge the gravity of the situation.
Feeling stonewalled by the restaurant, the aggrieved family called police by dialing 112. They demanded a thorough investigation into the restaurant’s kitchen practices and have called for strict punitive measures, including the potential suspension of its license, to prevent such a repulsive and hazardous lapse in food safety from happening again.
