Kheda: The state cabinet has approved Fagvel as the headquarters of the newly formed Fagvel taluka in Kheda district. Last week, the Gujarat government had notified the creation of 17 new talukas in the state. Among them, Fagvel was designated as the 11th taluka in Kheda district, carved out from Kapadvanj and Kathalal talukas.

Earlier, the designated headquarters for Fagvel was Kapadivav (Chikhlod), but the decision has now been revised, and the cabinet has approved Fagvel itself as the taluka headquarters.

Fagvel is also a center of devotion for Kshatriya Veer Bhathiji Maharaj. The decision has been taken keeping public demand in mind, with the aim of facilitating administrative convenience and accelerating development work. DeshGujarat
