October 16, 2025
Ahmedabad: To manage the anticipated heavy passenger traffic during the upcoming Diwali and Chhath festivals, Western Railway has temporarily suspended the sale of platform tickets at Ahmedabad and Sabarmati railway stations.
The suspension will be in effect from October 16, 2025, to October 27, 2025. During this period, platform tickets will not be available through any channel.
Western Railway has clarified that this measure is a temporary and planned step to ensure passenger safety, smooth flow of passengers, and overall convenience at the stations. All necessary arrangements are being made to provide travelers with a safe and comfortable journey experience.
The railway administration has also appealed to passengers and the general public to avoid unnecessary crowding at the stations during this period and to visit the station premises only for travel-related purposes, ensuring a secure and hassle-free environment for everyone. DeshGujarat
