Ahmedabad: In view of Diwali celebrations and safety concerns arising from firecracker bursting, the Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC) has announced that metro train services will operate for shorter hours on 20 October 2025.

The GMRC in a press note said, “Presently, Metro Train services are operational in Ahmedabad from 6:20 AM to 10:00 PM. On the occasion of Diwali festival celebration, in view of public bursting of firecrackers and its possible effects, which may affect the safety and security of passengers along with the operational safety of the Metro Rail, and as followed by other Metro Rails also, it has been decided to reduce the timing of metro train services from 06:20 AM to 7 PM for one day on 20.10.2025.

Last train departure timings on Diwali festival on dated 20.10.2025 from each terminal station i.e. Motera Stadium, APMC, Vastral Gam and Thaltej Gam in Ahmedabad corridor and Sachivalaya and Gift City in Gandhinagar Corridor will be as follows.
