Gujarat CM allocates ₹7,737 crore for multiple road projects

Gandhinagar: The Gujarat government today announced that Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has decided to allocate Rs. 7,737 crore to the Road & Building Department for a total of 124 works under various schemes.
Recognizing the importance of roads and bridges for development, the Chief Minister has approved Rs. 5,576 crore for 9 Garvi Gujarat High-Speed Corridors spanning 809 kilometers to make heavily trafficked roads in the state safer, faster, and more efficient.
Accordingly, the following allocations have been approved for road construction:

Bagodara – Dhandhuka – Barwala – Botad (92.23 km): Rs. 67.43 crore

Botad – Dhasa – Chavand – Amreli – Bagasra – Bilkha – Mendarda (67.30 km): Rs. 158.6 crore

Mendarda – Keshod – Mangrol (48.55 km): Rs. 81.38 crore

Unjha – Patan – Shihori – Diyodar – Bhabhar (105.05 km): Rs. 858.39 crore

Karjan – Dabhoi – Bodeli (71.10 km): Rs. 331.16 crore

Dehgam – Bayad – Lunawada – Santrampur – Jhalod (167.54 km): Rs. 1,514.41 crore

Ahmedabad – Harsol – Gambhoi – Vijayanagar (143.30 km): Rs. 640.30 crore
-
Santrampur – Morwa Hadaf – Santrod (49.90 km): Rs. 861.71 crore
-
Santrod – Devgadh Baria – Chhota Udepur (64.05 km): Rs. 1,062.82 crore
The construction of these high-speed corridors will improve transportation efficiency under PM Gati Shakti, reduce logistics costs, and promote economic development, trade, and industry in surrounding areas. It will also provide faster connectivity to key cities, ease travel, and boost tourism.
The Chief Minister has additionally approved Rs. 1,147 crore to make the state’s roads climate-resilient and technology-equipped, covering 20 works spanning 271 km. New construction technologies such as waste plastic, white topping, geogrid and glass grid, cement stabilization, fly ash, and green technology will be used to build more durable, cost-effective, and eco-friendly roads.
Further, Rs. 986 crore has been approved for 79 road surface improvement works covering 803 km across the state.
Notably, CM Bhupendra Patel had announced in this year’s budget the development of 12 new high-speed corridors covering 1,367 km under the Garvi Gujarat High-Speed Corridor program, aiming to strengthen and modernize the state’s road network. DeshGujarat
