Ahmedabad Suryakiran Air Show Cancelled
October 25, 2025
Gandhinagar: The Air Show of the Indian Air Force’s renowned Suryakiran Aerobatic Team (SKAT), which was scheduled to take place in Ahmedabad on Saturday, October 26, has been cancelled.
The airshow was planned in two cities of Gujarat this time. The first one took place in Mehsana on October 24, where thousands of people gathered to witness the maneuvers of the skilled SKAT team. However, the show that was to take place in Ahmedabad now stands cancelled.
Formed in 1996, SKAT is Asia’s only nine-aircraft aerobatic team and one of the few elite formations worldwide. The team has delivered over 900 performances across India and several countries, including China, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Thailand, Singapore, and the UAE. Known for their motto, “Sarvada Sarvottam” (Always the Best), the pilots showcase precision, discipline, and excellence with breathtaking stunts.
Flying nine Hawk Mk132 aircraft, the pilots execute daring maneuvers while maintaining a jaw-dropping distance of less than five metres between planes. Signature stunts include loops, rolls, head-on crosses, buzzes, inverted formations, and the famous “DNA manoeuvre”, where five aircraft form a helix shape in the sky.
Earlier this year, SKAT had already impressed audiences with shows in Vadodara, Jamnagar, Naliya, and Bhuj during January and February. DeshGujarat
