100 Surat BJP workers deployed in Bihar to boost NDA’s poll campaign
October 29, 2025
Surat: With political activity heating up ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections, around 100 BJP leaders and workers from Surat have been assigned responsibilities to boost voter turnout in favor of the NDA, following Gujarat’s successful Page Committee model.
It is learned that corporators, ward leaders, and office-bearers from Surat BJP will work during two phases of the polls, scheduled for November 6 and 11. The first team has already left for Bihar, while two more teams are set to depart on Wednesday for the second phase.
The Page Committee model, the brainchild of Union Jal Shakti Minister and former Gujarat BJP president C. R. Patil, has proven highly effective in Gujarat’s local body and Assembly elections. Patil, who has been appointed co-incharge of the Bihar polls by the BJP’s national organisation, has replicated the same strategy in Bihar. Accordingly, about 100 Surat-based BJP leaders and workers have been assigned duties across nearly 78 Assembly constituencies in the state.
Currently, around 80 Surat workers are actively engaged in Bihar for the November 6 phase, mobilising voters at the booth level to ensure maximum turnout in support of the NDA. They are expected to return three days after polling concludes. DeshGujarat
