Third Wave Coffee forays into Ahmedabad city with 2 new cafes

Ahmedabad, 19 November 2025: Bengaluru-based coffee chain Third Wave Coffee has expanded its footprint in Gujarat with the opening of its latest café on CG Road in Ahmedabad. The brand, which now operates 196 outlets across the country, has entered the city with two new cafés at CG Road and Prahlad Nagar, in addition to its existing presence at Ahmedabad airport. The national chain currently operates in 12 states and expects to reach its 200th outlet in Pune later this year.

The new Ahmedabad outlet is only the second pure-vegetarian café in the brand’s network, the first being in Borivali, Mumbai. Several major food chains such as Domino’s, Pizza Hut and McDonald’s had earlier introduced their initial vegetarian-only formats in Gujarat, citing strong regional demand.

The menu at Third Wave Coffee’s Ahmedabad café includes items described by the company as local favourites, such as Bun Maska and classic puffs, along with desserts including Shrikhand Cheesecake, Biscoff Brownie, mousse cups and pastries. The café also offers vegetarian sandwiches, wraps, pizzas, quesadillas and croissant-based snacks, as well as smoothie bowls, soft gelatos and waffles. Prices start at ₹209 for a cup of coffee, while food items like pizza slices begin at ₹150. According to the company, the menu was shaped after months of research into Ahmedabad’s food preferences, with adaptations of Manek Chowk staples—such as reinterpreting the popular ghughra sandwich as a cheese chilli toast, and the well-known pineapple sandwich as pineapple maska buns.

At the launch, Third Wave Coffee CEO Rajat Luthra said, “Entering Ahmedabad is a natural step in our growth journey, driven by consumer demand and the city’s vibrant café culture. What stands out about Ahmedabad is its warmth, hospitality and rising appetite for premium coffee, values that strongly resonate with our brand ethos. We look forward to entering Surat and Vadodara in the future.” DeshGujarat
